Holidays with a difference!

I said I wanted to write a letter about the two weeks I spent on Yasawa Princess and here it is.  Please take this as my feedback and if it can be read to the crew ..all the better.

The things I noticed - after gasping at the beauty of the Atols  were the  changes made to the boat that made such a difference.  These may have been made some time ago (I last went in April 2014) but such nice touches to the comfort and appearance of YP.

The sun canopy on the sun deck and a good number of sunbeds - also new., the swim deck, which 3 of us ladies used while moored in deep water.  The Captain has tidied the front of the boat, so no Lines for drying wet things; and this tidied the operational area, but the provision of bars outside our rooms to hang wet things was not the best because it often rained on already wet clothes and they dried quite slowly or not at all.   Some of us took our own lines and pegs and made a line attached to pipes..  the Maldivian Flag was a nice thing to see, a very important touch!  The team are doing their best to keep a tidy ship.  On the Dining/Lounge deck was the addition of a large screen TV and we all loved watching Fayez‘s videos of fish life we were going to see or had seen - really super way to bring the crowd together.  The air conditioned room behind the kitchen was tidy, smart and obviously spruced up.

Now on to the crew all of who conducted their work with smiles and grace.  Nothing was too much for them  and the hard work paid off with the busy, slick operation and programme of two or three trips a day, preparing islands with parasols and coolbox of drinks and ferrying groups to beach and reef for snorkelling and diving. The mass operation of the BBQ’s and land lunch...WOW what effort made with beautiful lighting and sand art!!!

The Captain was hands on (I never saw the Captain the last time I visited).  This Captain was always about and he got involved with everything.  A super chap and a Team Leader.  I would be grateful if you could extend my thanks for the Maldivian gift he gave the ladies; a little trinket box - very kind.

The cuisine was absolutely delicious and plentiful... all you needed.  We all looked forward to every meal with true hunger and expectation that never failed to satisfy!.  Dessert was often fruit and all you ever needed and occasionally there was delicious cake at tea time.  I have not gained weight but have eaten delicious, satisfying curries and all served beautifully; presentation with smiles.

Now,  the whole experience was truly fantastic for the holiday maker wanting to relax, wear casual clothing, muck in and mix with other holiday makers - our fellow travellers were Canadian and we all mixed and shared the wonderful experiences of our underwater sight-seeing. It is nice for the YP Traveller to know that the holiday is not a „Hi-Luxury“ holiday... it. Is home-from-home relaxation and once in the swing you realise just how much you are relaxing in the magical kingdom of the Atols and it’s lovely gentle people.

Only one small criticism is the night BBQ is hard to serve hot food and it was very dark so you can’t see what you are eating.  I guess that is just bbq at night!  Dancing was the best fun.

The cabin crew left a very tidy cabin with fantastic towel animals and their tidiness put me to shame!

My last bit of feedback is ‚ don’t change anything too much, this style holiday is unique, full of charm for it‘s ways and provides for a certain type of holiday maker who is not looking for ritzy, glitzy luxury, but the wonderful Yasawa Princess dream holiday.

My thanks to each and every one I look forward to visiting again.

I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic time I had on holiday on the Yasawa Princess.

Just wanted to let everyone at RTC know how pleased we were with the arrangements you made for our recent holiday in Split, Croatia. We have used the specialist disability companies in recent years but find that many of their properties are beach-centred, not our choice and we were very happy with the facilities in the Atrium Hotel in Split even though it was a little further from the centre than we had hoped. The staff in the hotel were excellent, very friendly and informative, and there was always someone there to welcome us back from our times in town. We felt as if we mattered to them and we appreciated this approach which applied to all staff whether front desk, restaurant or bar.

We’ve already been in touch with you with preliminary enquiries for next year so thank you again for your service.

Kind regards,
Charlie and Anne

I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic time I had on holiday on the Yasawa Princess.

The holiday was magical after seeing WhaleShark on my first snorkel to synchronized swimming with a turtle   The Crew on board the ship are exceptional.  They do everything they can to ensure you have a great holiday.  This boat really is a hidden gem of the Maldives providing a very unique and personal experience.  Spiderman aka Fayaz always manages to see and point out to those who are with him the different sea life you would not necessarily see yourself and these included ; Stone Fish, Lion Fish and Octopus to name a few. I am sure I will be back.

Hi Anji,

A big "thank you" from both Neil and I for arranging our holiday to Hotel Minister, Puerto de Soller.

We had a fabulous time - all the arrangements were great (just don't send anyone on Thomas Cook airlines unless you absolutely have to!!) - the taxi to and from the hotel, the hotel itself and the resort.  The port is beautiful, and the end of the bay where we stayed was very quiet - no music on the beach etc.  Soller is a very friendly place, and the hotel room you arranged (Junior suite) was on the 4th floor, big room with sitting area, big bathroom and fabulous views out over the beach and bay.

We loved it!.

We will of course use your services again - you have been great for both our S.A. and Mallorca holidays.

Kind regards,

Dear Anji & Gordon
We had a great time. All transfers connected easily. Loved the fortnight on Yasawa ... Very convivial and sensational dive sites. Thanks for recommending Embudu village. It was lovely for a tranquil wind down and fabulous reef for snorkeling and close transfer from Male as advised.  Yasawa guest relations, Fayeez, managed to arrange morning transfer so we had full first day at resort.
All staff and crew were exceptionally helpful both ends ... Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely honeymoon treats too. Impressed to get Veuve Cliquot champagne compliments of Yasawa. Basket of fruit/prosecco at Embudu. too. Room attendant also decorated bed on last night. Water villa lovely.  Only recommendation given was brighter light needed in room ... Easier for packing at night.
Diving really safely organised at both.
Thank you for organising the trip. You were great to deal with and kept us well informed. An amazing and memorable honeymoon

Hello Gordon
A very good holiday indeed.
The Yasawa Princess has really been looked after with the new paint looks really good. Cabins have been improved too.
I was happy to have same captain as 5 years ago and the chef is the same as 3 years ago …. excellent food.
We had a slight problem with an engine but we managed to complete itinerary.
Many thanks also for the very good seats on the flights

I will be back !!!!

Lorraine Moon,
Hi Anji and Gordon,
Thank you - it was a long flight home!
We had excellent service from RTC and were very pleased with all the flights and arrangements that you made for us. All the flights connected perfectly, and the lounge at Jo'burg airport was very pleasant (in case anyone else should want a lounge there).
We will certainly use RTC again should we be wanting to book any other holiday travel.
Kind regards,

Hi Gordon.

We had a great time, probably the best place we have been to. Thank you for organising it,couldn't fault any part of it. Bit puzzled how its cheaper to fly via Dubai rather than direct? How can 2 flights be cheaper than 1?

Kind regards

All went well.....thanks for putting it together.....Cinnamon was great.....would highly recommend it to anyone......timing was good.....little glitch in getting to speedboat as Cruise Director  on Yasawa transferred us at his convenience.......thus we were couple of hours late getting there.....we did get offered an upgrade however by recommendation of an existing guests suggestion that the basement level was very comfortable.....which it was.

Will also comment for what it is worth......he, the Cruise Director, should not be in contact with guests......he is NOT a people person and is very short with his communications and attitude.

As far as additional trips, we are interested in doing a narrow boat canal outing in the that something you have contacts on??

Again, great time......
