Dubai Perfect for Family Holidays

Dubai’s reputation as a tourist attraction has been built on golf, entertainment, shopping and dining; which has led many people to suggest that this is an area idea for solo travellers, business people and couples. These groups are well represented in Dubai but in more recent times, Dubai has offered a lot more for people of all ages. This has helped sift the focus in this part of the world to a family friendly atmosphere.

The combination of stunning beaches, family focused attractions and individual hotels and resorts offering tremendous kids club facilities, Dubai is definitely a place for the whole family. Add in the fact that there are plenty kid friendly restaurants and it is fair to say that family holidays in Dubai are a perfect option.

Dubai has some fantastic water parks to enjoy

An area where Dubai has taken a massive step forward in providing family focused fun comes with water parks. There are more than enough glorious beaches to choose from in this region but to make sure that kids are entertained, amused and energised, water parks like Wild Wadi or Aquaventure are an essential part of the holiday. There are over 40 acres of rides on offer in Aquventure with new attractions opening all the time. Fearless kids and adults can enjoy Ziggurat, which stands at 100ft tall and there is also a stunning zip line circuit. There is also the opportunity to feed the fish which means that younger children or kids that appreciate the sea and all of its creatures will be engaged.

If you insist on spending time on the beach, and when they look this good you should, areas like Al Mamzar Beach or Jumeirah Beach are amongst the most popular options.

You can enjoy a high standard of indoor attractions in Dubai

There are also indoor attractions to look out for and if you, or the kids, love computer games, Sega Republic is likely to be one of the most important destinations on your trip. There are over 170 games and rides on offer and the association with Sega means you are guaranteed games of the highest calibre. There is the Dubai Aquarium for those who enjoy water at a more sedate space and there is also the bizarre KidZania Dubai, a place that allows children to explore a grown-up world that has been shrunk in size for them.

As strange as that attraction sounds, it isn’t quite as strange as having the chance to go skiing or snowboarding in Dubai. Ski Dubai provides an indoor snow laden area that is sure to be classed as a winter wonderland, no matter what time of year you visit.

There is also a growing awareness of the importance of children for hotels and you will find that all of the leading hotels and operators in Dubai provide a family friendly service. With some of the larger hotels providing horse riding and group activities, even if you want some adult time away from the kids on a break, you’ll find that there are many safe and reliable ways to keep the kids amused.

The image and identity of Dubai has evolved considerably and it should be as a fantastic place for families to come and enjoy a break from everyday life.
