MV Yasawa Princess

This luxury floating hotel (refurbished in 2007) exceeds all expectations. Its three decks give spectacular views of the Maldive scenery and the extraordinary beauty can be viewed at a cruising speed of 10-12 knots. For the technically minded, the Princess is 54.9 metres long and 11 metres wide.

Her passenger capacity is 60 so you have a friendly, family flavour on board. All 33 cabins are air-conditioned and non-smoking and they are furnished with a double bed (or two singles) with wooden furniture, en suite shower/wet area/WC and have a safe, a hairdryer and 240v power outlet. The bar serves an excellent range of drinks and premium imported brands are available at a small supplement. The cosy, informal dining room serves delicious buffet-style meals with local Maldive dishes available on request.

Activities

Whether you are a beginner or an expert in diving, the Yasawa Princess offers you a unique opportunity to explore the coral gardens that lie beneath. If you have a non-diving partner, he or she can lounge on deck, cocktail in hand, while you experience the underwater magic. The Deep Blue Dive Centre on board is fully equipped and the staff very experienced. Diving is enormously popular and so we have allocated certain weeks on the Princess for this experience. If you are on board for the leisure, only the route may vary slightly. Snorkelling and Big Game fishing are other popular activities, with one or two week programmes in paradise with plenty of excellent, rich fishing grounds unaffected by large scale commercial industry.
